EARTH ART
What word is in the center of "Earth"? Art! Preschoolers will discover the beauty in the world around them. Objects in nature will be used to create art, including forest and lake wind chimes, natural clay sculpures, and berry-painted t-shirts. Bring a washed, white t-shirt the first day.

PAINT EXPLORERS
Does your child like to get his or her hands messy? Preschoolers' innate curiousity will be satisfied as they discover how colors can be combined to create other colors. Various techniques will then be used as they design small and large scale paintings with strategically guided freedom.

KINDER ARTISTS
An array of different media will be introduced to your young scholar in this class. Beginning with an exploration of drawing and painting, dabbling with printmaking, and finishing with ceramics, children will discover that artists can wear many different caps.

CREATING A FAERIE LAND
Everything Faerie will be explored during this course, as students create their own faerie gardens with wee faeries to play in them. This will be accompanied by drawing exercises that incorporate sketching faeries in various setting, both from real life observation and other illustrations.

ELEMENTS OF ART FOR HOMESCHOOLERS
Develop your skills in drawing and painting while using the basic elements of art: line, shape, space, value, color, texture. Learn how to use charcoal, pastel, paints and colored pencils. BASIC CARTOONING and ANIMATION
We will begin with the basics: character drawings, storytelling, exaggeration and expression. Then explore story ideas to make simple three panel coomics. Learn about comic book page design and create your very own story. If you are adventurous, you can dive into a full comic book design, cover to cover. Bring your creative juices and a spiral bound sketchbook to keep your ideas for character development all in one location.

Learn how to draw people, likenesses, hands and feet: the really tough stuff when it comes to drawing people!
