JUST FOR KIDS
Mill Art Center & Gallery provides an environment in which the community can express and develop their artistic abilities through instruction, observation and interaction with professional artists. Our unique blend of classroom studios and professional gallery exhibition space encourages students to immerse themselves in art, with inspiration from instructors and the art that surrounds them. Our small class sizes ensure that each student gets plenty of one on one time in every class.
Children and teen classes follow the public school calendar. Arrangements may be made with specific instructors for make-up classes. Gift certificates for art classes and art purchases available.
Due to a generous member donation and grant funding from the Genesee Valley Council of the Arts, the Mill At Center and Gallery is excited to be able to offer sign language interpreting for classes, talks and related programs. In order to successfully schedule an interpreter, we respectfully ask that requests are made two weeks prior to an event.

Young Masters Art Lessons - Just for Younger Kids
Ready to explore a traditional approach to learning to draw? This class will have your young artist at the easel beginning with drawing using a variety of dry media such as charcoal, colored pencils, and pastels. Working from a still life, your child will develop observation skills, perspective and application. We are very excited to offer this class once again. All materials are included.
Who :: Children ages 7-10 maximum of 6 students
Class Dates :: 3 Saturday mornings, October 3rd, 10th and 17th from 9:30 - 11am

Animal Pinch Pots
Bring your creative energies to come make a friend to store your treasures in! In this kid friendly class, we’ll spend an afternoon learning about working with clay, and how to shape it into a curious critter. We will cover creating pinchpots, and how to form and attach additional pieces of clay to transform an everyday item into something with lots of character!
Absolutely no experience necessary, but a great refresher course, too. Please allow 2 - 3 weeks between class and picking up fired pieces.

Summer Camp
an educational camp centered on the arts, Discovery, and enrichment--- iNDOORS AND oUT.
CREATING “FUN ” JUST FOR YOU....
• Drawing/Painting … along with many creative activities planned for the classroom, we will also hike to picturesque sites to draw and picnic by the falls or Honeoye Creek.
• Summer Treasures ... your children will create a variety of special keepsakes during the week from working with all sorts of art materials, printing, stitching, and found object creations.
• Creative workshop …printing, collage, creating 3D art.
• Walks along Honeoye Creek … a favorite end-of-the day chance to wind down, weather permitting. Cool off and explore nature's wonders along the water and rocks.
• Exercise, music and meditation time - Everyone needs a chance to stretch and then to relax, even have a chance to catch your breath. Each day we have a few minutes of “down time”. We encourage each student to bring a book to read and their own sketchbook or journal to work in.

Who?
Ages 6-11 years old
Camper needs to be 6 years old by June 30, 2027.
WHAT TO BRING?
Your sketchbook, lunch, sunscreen, and water shoes to wade in the shallows of Honeoye Creek. We will provide all art supplies: pencils, charcoal, pastels, and paints, etc.
