This class is a great introduction to creating a unique vase or pot using the hand building coil method. Beginning with making a long rope of clay, the experience begins. Cubes, spheres and spirals, or other shapes, can be incorporated into the design. The first class is for creating the pottery in your own unique designs. The pot is allowed to dry naturally and fired in a kiln. Students return on the second day to add glazes using a variety of colors to bring out and enhance the design and patterns of your creation. Plenty of instruction and guidance given throughout the workshop to ensure satisfactory results. After the glaze firing, students will be notified to return to pick up their pottery.
