You are all invited to our opening celebration of art for the Student Teacher Exhibition where you will find a nice variety of all the classes we have held in our classroom this past year. We are so proud of all the accomplishments and the commitment the students put forth in their art. Our classes are for all levels of interest and ability. We have students ranging from 6 years old to people well into their 80’s engaging in our classes. Have a look at our class pages to see what is on schedule for the summer.

The Mill Art Center is excited to announce a Community Wide Event to be held on the grounds of the Mendon Library

Join us for a morning Plein Air Paint Out on Saturday, June 28th from 10 am - 1pm.

All ages.  Join with instructors from the Mill Art Center and Gallery on the library lawn and create art to showcase at the library as part of the Summer Reading Program, "Color Our World."  Open to all ages. For the young ones (8 and younger), parents would help out. Table easels will be available and art supplies will be provided. Artists are encouraged to share their completed art by displaying it at the Library through the summer.  We will take reservations but encourage folks to stop in to try their hand at this creative process.

The event takes place at the Mendon Public Library - 22 North Main Street Honeoye Falls, NY 14472 - 585-624-6067

Your Craft of Encaustic: Exploring the Expression of Voice through Material, Mark, and Unique Maker with guest instructor - Patricia Baldwin Seggebruch

Waitlist Only at this time, please email us at millartcenter@gmail.com

What makes art worthwhile and enduring is its ability to tell a story. For the artist it can be cathartic and freeing to put into color, form, and design the experiences of one's life. For the viewer, the lessons come first in connection to the visual expression, then in the underlying prophetic summation that can be the proclamation of this artistic expression.

My aim in this workshop is to drive you deeper into your unique hand in paint. When we can polish this individuated talent into its fullest shine, the end result holds all of our effort and will in its form. This is why art exists, and why we as artists strive to call it into existence.

You can expect from this workshop to spend some engaging time in consideration of your unique talents (those 'coins' we hold in our hand) and the way in which you pull them together to proclaim your voice across the canvas.

It is going to be not only a deep exploration, but a whole lot of fun, beauty, and communion with oneself and the group! I will spend time in designed group demonstrations as well as answering to group desires. As well, I will paint alongside, AND roam the room to individually answer any calls to help you hone your depth perceptions as well as talent application!

All in all you, if you bring the fullest you, I guarantee this immersive environment will give you a full purse of possibilities to propel you forward. I look forward to you~
